The time we awakeTo a life we never choseNo matter the joys, no matter the woes. How we seeThe people, the placesAnd the years written across their faces. What we knowIs true and just —Lies and malice shall turn to dust. The lonely path toWhat the heart desiresNo matter the horrors that may transpire.A glimmer of modernityIn glassy eyesHeralding humanity, digitised.A vivid memoryThat went from a sparkTo the last light one saw before the dark.
