Masterclass with Vincent Tsai
Following the two thematic seminars on the investigation of art books held in November, WMA and HART are welcoming a total of eight WMA alumni and HART artists and collaborators to participate in an art book production masterclass, which will be hosted by Taipei-based artist book researcher and independent curator Tsai Yin-Chin.
The five-day masterclass will commence with an examination of the materiality of books, their generative structures, and the application of binding forms and printing techniques. Participants will conceptualise their ideas and create books that are geared towards the audience by utilising the materials and techniques they have learned. The eight participants will develop prototype books, which will be publicly exhibited at a later date.
