Since the 1950s, scholars and citizens have documented the Hong Kong flora and fauna through illustrating and writing, and compiled them into various publications on local ecology. Meanwhile, local travel guidebooks from the 1980s and the 1990s captured the beauty of Hong Kong’s countryside and islands through images and captions.
The event ‘Sit Tight and Read’ aims to provide a reading and sharing space for the public. Book collections from “hkhiker” and WMA will be showcased, along with two sharing sessions from artist Chan Long-hei, and Matthew and Herman who founded the “hkhiker”.
