- Were your works used by third parties without authorisation?
- Did you need to remove your images because you didn’t have a model release?
- Have you not been able to show your images in an exhibition because they were previously made from a paid gig?
These are common frustrations we hear from many photographers. WMA is honoured to have experts from leading law firm Mayer Brown to give a webinar about Intellectual Property Rights on November 11th, 2020. Amita Haylock (Partner), Jacqueline Tsang (Associate) and Douglas Yang (Trainee) will introduce different areas of Intellectual Property Law, such as Copyright, IP Licensing, and Creative Commons Licensing, and discuss practical issues faced by artists, such as model release, property release, remedial actions available against unauthorised use of work and privacy issues. Participants can submit their questions online.
The webinar will be conducted in English. A WebEx meeting link will be sent to participants after registration. For any enquiries, please email [email protected]
