WMA Open Photo Contest 2013 Announces 31 Finalists – Vote Now!

WMA Open Photo Contest received close to a thousand submissions over a month. 31 finalists were carefully chosen by a panel of esteemed judges including:

Mr. Peter Lau, Managing Director Asia One Communications Group, Founder Asia One Communications
Mr. Leong Ka Tai, Chairman Hong Kong Photographic Culture Association
Mr. Alex Ng, Chief Editor Photo Magazine
Ms. Kwong Sum Yin, CEO Clean Air Network

All selected finalists have been placed on the WMA Open Photo Contest website and members of the public are encouraged to vote for their favourite photo. The voting period starts today and ends 31st August 2013.

The WMA Open Photo Contest aims to engage the public at large on issues connected to the topic of AIR by inviting them to submit photographs and to discuss the subject. It will maintain a photo library of images governed by Creative Commons licenses for educational uses eg. lectures and non commercial projects with appropriate attribution, as well as serving as a photographic history of contemporary Hong Kong. The winner and first and second runners up will receive a $20,000, $10,000 and $5000 cash prize respectively.
